About Nasi Campur

I think all of us especially a true Malaysian had been experienced with the Restaurant that served nasi campur. When i was a student nasi campur at the restaurant or warung is the answer for the hunger. Why, because the trademarks of nasi campur are always the same- cheap, colourful, several of types, texture and etc. As soon as you sit, the waiter will ask for the drinks and start to stare at your meals, calculate and guess what? Bill!
Every so often, i ‘ve thinking about doing some changes. Why not put the dishes on top of the conveyor belt and let it go around the consumers like the Japanese style. Guest only have to sit with hot steaming plain rice on the plate and start to gaze to the dishes. A great food is not only about the food and drinks. It is about the emotional experience that you give to the consumers. What was i think? Dissimilarity of display and innovations are the keys. Who can ever imagines when McD and KFC start their business only depending with burger and chicken? But with the continuous changes in display and innovation they succed. For example- Prosperity burger, an innovation that sells million of dollars around the global. The owner and the chef need to obsess about the service and the culinary details and not to forget the fundamental techniques to brings the best ever product on earth to the table.

  1. Wuhuuuu...congtras bro on ur blog. It seems that u got ur feel of writing already. Great huh! So, ur nasi campur story of having the conveyor belt runs thru the restaurant is kind of very innovative eh. Why not let the conveyor belt runs thru right to my door step hahaha.. i don't hav to waste my ngv to get to savor the nasi campur at the restaurant hahaha...
Another thing which became a trademark to most of restaurant in malaysia, u got to tell story to the cashier or waiter again of what u have consumed ealier on. Don't they have already wrote down when taking the order? They never learn that giving conveniences to customers is equally important as providing good food. It annoys me everytime a waiter ask me back, "abang makan apa tadi bang?" I would have just replied, "eh, bukan ko dah tulis tadi masa ambik order?, benda senang pun korang tak leh nak buat!" Sound a bit sarcastic eh but some time we need people to be just as sarcastic to make things better, otherwise they will just make 'dunno'.
